A dental bridge consists of two crowns on both sides of the
space between the teeth. These two anchoring teeth are called
abutment teeth. These artificial teeth, which are a big part
of the dental bridge, are called pontics and are made from
different materials like gold, alloys, porcelain or a mixture
of these materials. Dental bridges are supported by natural
teeth or implants.
